She has shown us signs to look for that help in keeping the nipping down and helped with teaching both of us what we need to do make things very enjoyable and not seem like a chore to get her to do things

I signed up for the private puppy training class for Wilbur. The content was custom and organized based on his weekly progress. There was focus and attention on his areas of opportunity. We did the Dog Meets Baby series with Sandy and Carrie.

We have two goldendoodles (45lbs & 65lbs). We started the trainings when I was about 7 months pregnant, Sandy and Carrie made the whole process easy and explained what we would be doing over the coming weeks, why each step was important.

They were always on time, and easy to get in contact with when we had questions between sessions. They gave us helpful hand outs and homework activities after each session. On top of that, my dogs LOVE them?

Due to the training, the first introduction wasn’t stressful. We knew what to expect from the dogs and what we needed to do to help them acclimate to the change. The dogs were very gentle from the moment they met the baby.

Now the baby is two months old, my husband and I are not worried about them around the baby and they are the best of friends. I highly recommend this training!

Before I attended Animal House Academy's reactive dog training course, my walks with my dog Louis often had me on edge. After a few negative experiences with other dogs, he was on the defensive and ready to bark and lunge to keep other dogs far away. I found myself saying, “Louis, no! Stop! Quiet!” while dragging him along as fast as I could when he spotted another dog out for a walk.

After this course, I say, “Watch me. Yes, Louis! Good job!” as he calmly and cooperatively walks with me. Walks are enjoyable, and I no longer clench my jaw and prepare to struggle with him when we see another dog out enjoying a stroll.

Sandy and her team teach dog guardians the skills they need to be able to confidently manage their reactive dog's stress, encourage calm behavior, and smoothly exit situations that provoke big feelings in their dog. The positive methods used in class are rewarding for the dog/human team and helped to strengthen our bond. Sandy provides detailed handouts that cover each week's lesson that I referred to while working with Louis at home. I also deeply appreciated that online support was also available.

By the end of the course, outings with Louis were fun again, and I am proud to say he earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

Sandy with Animal House Academy was the perfect fit for training my daughter's new rescue puppy. He had a rough start in life and was fearfully reactive to everything from pencils, to vacuums/carts, to children, to other dogs and also needed to improve on basic obedience, crate training, and walking on leash. We chose to have Sandy train in our home and we finished our first session with a sweet, smart pup who now has tools to overcome his fears, walks politely on leash, can go for outings in various locations and has wonderful recall and obedience for a large breed, 7 month old puppy. Working with Sandy has made a huge difference for our family and in the quality of life for this puppy. I would recommend 100% and we will continue to train here!

We did the 6 week home-school training and were very pleased with Brutus’ behavior changes.
