We've stayed in a lot of hotels during our road trip from Atlanta to New Orleans. This one was one of the best. Lovely clean room, helpful staff and excellent breakfast.
Two things to make it perfect...enough breakfast tea bags and proper butter for the bagels. Otherwise, a great place to stay.

Very impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel. Hospitality was amazing too! Stayed the night here while passing through with my family on a road trip. Got to our room and the carpet was still wet from cleaning it. I called the front desk and the gentleman was so kind and understanding. He switched our room immediately and even brought our new room key up to us. Our room and bathroom were very clean, everything in the room was well taken care of, and the bed was comfortable.

Positive: Room furnished excellent. The night receptionist was very professional and she sent a fallow up text. Negative: Bed support was sticking out and cut my leg in the morning rush. Bathtub drain was clogged. Room was getting noise more from route 10 highway.

I read numerous reviews from several different hotels in the surrounding area of Baton Rouge that was within a reasonable distance from the LSU Veterinarian Teaching Hospital. All I wanted was a clean room and bed for a reasonable price and was feeling really discouraged after reading all the reviews. The bad reviews for this hotel were about the breakfast so we took a chance on this one cause I can go somewhere else and get breakfast just so long as the room and bed are clean, and they were. I was very happy with the cleanliness of our room and the bed was very clean and comfortable. As for the breakfast, we were told breakfast was from 6-9 a.m. We went down a little after 6 a.m. and there was plenty to choose from and it was fresh and hot. There was even a waffle station where you could make your own waffle with a small assortment of toppings. An assortment of muffins and bagels. They had biscuits and gravy, sliced link sausage, small omelets and Oatmeal as well as cold cereal options and different fruit juices to choose from. I was surprised and very pleased with our breakfast options so I can only assume the people that left the bad review must have waited till almost 9 a.m. when breakfast was almost over and the options were few and not as fresh. Will definitely stay here again if in the area. Thank you Hampton Inn for making my stay comfortable.

This is a slightly older Hampton with strategic updates. Not much noise insulation from outside, which can get pretty loud from sports cars redlining up and down I-10. Rooms are small, with a disappointing amount of wasted space and oversized furniture. The WiFi is archaic. The hallways and elevators were warm and humid.

That said, there are pluses: awesome amazing staff, good breakfast, good quality TV/cable package, whisper-quiet a/c, and the whole place is squeaky clean. Plenty of space in the lobby for studying, work, or small groups. Great location with lots of restaurants within 5-10 minutes drive.

Even if the location is next to the highway, it is very disturbing if you are trying to sleep as the rooms are not sound proof. Some of breakfast items eg potatoes were over by 9 am with no refills.

I booked this room for my family that we travel from Georgia to Texas we were looking for something not too far off the beaten path and with a decent price we got both. And the front desk staff Cassandra was very helpful.

My family and I stopped here on our way to and from our road trip vacation, both times we had a great experience. Of course it is not luxury, but for a pit stop after a long drive it is good and clean. The front desk workers both times were sweet and accommodating to requests. There is a decent free breakfast offering cereals, waffles, eggs, etc, and a 24/7 hot drink bar for coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Our rooms + bathrooms were clean and stocked, and overall we felt safe staying here. Short drive from the sights of Baton Rouge/city center if you’d like to explore the city too!
